I am in Budapest. It is still awesomely great. I am already beginning to scheme on how I can end up living here someday. Just. Frigging. Awesome.
I've heard Budapest was pretty amazing. When I was in Germany the last time I had to pick either Prague or Budapest, and I picked Prague. Budapest is still on my list though...

Prague is prettier.
Budapest has better food, is cheaper, and has a better taste in music. And its still pretty gorgeous.
But for sure Budapest and Prague both wipe the floor with most of their more "developed" Western European neighbours.
The food is very similar! You didnt stay Long enough in Praha... to really taste the good food! :)

You1re right about Prague food, I didnt experience enough. But I am confident that Budapest has a better music scene, less Americans, less tourists and better public transport.
