The wisdom of the market

Apple and Microsoft go head to head in the MP3 player market, and Microsoft gets beaten like a red headed stepchild.
How badly has Microsoft's Zune MP3 player gone down? Apple is selling more iPod power adapters than Microsoft is selling MP3 players. Ouch.
If you read the whole linked article, there are plenty more amazing figures of just how dominant the iPod is. Most revealing for me is that different models of iPod make up five of the top ten best selling electronics products at Amazon.com, and ten of the top twenty five.

I am an owner of iPod and to be honest - I don't get the hype. Its not very convenient to use, it takes a long time to charge it, the batter could last longer. I am also the owner of Sony Walkman (the mp3 player, naturally). Now that's another story.
But for sure, iPod has made a name for themselves. Now in Dubai they are constructing a building that will look like a giant iPod that is charging itself (exactly under 60 degrees like the original one). It will me the most technologically advanced building in the world, called the iPad.
Emirates Airlines now also works with iPod, you can listen to music and watch videos straight from your iPod while flying.
Its beginning to look more and more as if though iPod has won the mp3 war for good.
