Forsoothsayer, a young, progressive Egyptian woman, and great blogger, was one of the instrumental people in helping the Eid sexual assaults story gain mainstream attention. And like any story involving Muslims Behaving Badly, right wing bloggers like Atlas Shrugs and Tim Blair joined the party. They just want to highlight the dangers posed by extremist Islam right? Support their fellow Middle East citizen journalists and pro-all-the-good stuff activists in combating extremism?

Heres some of the comments left by readers to Forsoothsayers story after being picked up by the Right side of the web:

mahdihotline and some anonymous genius both use some truly amazing logic to deduce that Forsoothsayer herself is "sick" and just as bad as the idiot Sheikh Hilali in Australia

Jeebus, those guys are just as bad as some of the Islamic nutters. Sadly there are people who agree with them.

And websites run by otherwise respectable people that give them the platform, and the encouragement, to actualise their intense bigotry and wierdness.

Because of all the asshole fundamentalists acting like animals? And the fact that pretty much every single Islamic country has been in political and economic decay for the last 20 years?
