The Daily Show had a hilarious piece the other night about the reluctance of the Bush administration to refer to the mess in Iraq as a civil war. Their spoof guest, a "Senior Analyst", offered up some great pieces of typically Orwellian Bush administration newspeak as alternatives to the dreaded C word - including "ongoing scuffle between sectarian insurgent groups", the "internal sovereignity challenge", and my personal favourite, a "faith based melee". Classic.
