Template change means big beautiful photos....

I ditched my old blog template, because it was frustratingly skinny.
I'll try and sort out a new one, but in the meantime I'll stick to the current.....simple....layout and design. At least it means I can post big beautiful photograps at a decent size.....
Here is a Kangaroo. Admire her, because she is from....History!

And my house in Australia, if you look hard enough you can make it out in there somewhere....

I'll be here on Thursday night, if anyone is interested.....
I actually have no idea what it is all about, but the last thing I went to that was organised by the CrimeJazz people was so good that I actually gave them my email address afterwards to tell me more....Which is why I got this in the mail today :)
It looks pretty sweet, whatever it is....

Saturday Night Feasting

Last nights Dinner menu:
Starting off with some Prosciutto di San Daniele (delicious), 2 different kinds of smoked salmon (one very fresh, soft pink smoked salmon, and one that was dried out and a little more chewy, both delicious), Epoisses cheese, and both sun dried and semi dried tomatoes. A big oval of Turkish bread was quickly torn to shreds while devouring these awesome delicacies.
Break out the wine. A bottle of 1998 Falconaro - the guy in the store told me it would go well with the prosciutto. It tasted frigging wonerful.....Note to self....always trust the guy in the store...
Its a pretty simple mushroom risotto for the main course, made uber tasty by the fantastic aged pecorino cheese we put into it, and the truffle oil drizzled over the top before serving. Damn, that was some good truffle oil.
Desert was tight. Panna Cotta served topped with a pile of strawberries soaked in balsamic vinegar and black pepper. Some tasty business right there.....
To eat like this is to affirm life at its fullest. Lovely.

Best movie I've seen in a while....

But no matter what else he might do with his hands--love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper....his hands will always remember the rifle...."Jarhead is one of the best movies that I have seen for a long time - I think it will end up in history as one of the great war movies, albeit a very 1990's interpretation of war. Welcome to the suck.
I kind of abandoned my blog there for a while. It will be back to usual from now on, inshallah.
